Fairy Crassula

Latin Name: 
Crassula multicava

How adorable are these little button leaves? Being a type of Crassula, they're the ultimate semi-succulent pals that are a breeze to take care of! Whether in pots, hanging planters, or as ground cover, they shine. With dainty pink blooms, they blossom in winter. When it comes to light, they're pretty laid-back – sun or shade, they're content either way.

Cotyledon Pig's Ear

Latin Name: 
Cotyledon orbiculata

Can reach a height of around 1.3 m if in the ground and happy. It will get orange bell-shaped flowers in winter, and the spinebills love to eat from them! It's relatively easy to care for.

Latin Name: 
Crassula muscosa

Delicate succulent, which propagates easily with fallen stems. Gets tiny little flowers along the length of the stems. Doesn't like excessive sun or heat, keep it protected outdoors. Don't water too much over winter. We like it in our succulent gardens for contrast and because it is slower growing.

Crassula Pubescens

Latin Name: 

A thin leaf crassula with fine hair. Colour varies between green and red depending on weather, watering and growth phase. It will drop its leaves, propagate and spread to form a thick carpet. It will get spikes of yellow flowers in spring. The best way of watering is soak and dry method this succulent.

Senecio Wax Ivy

Senecio macroglossus variegata

Meet the Senecio macroglossus variegata, or Variegated Wax Ivy – a plant that's like a living masterpiece, flaunting leaves splashed with white and green. It's a laid-back companion, happy in hanging baskets or climbing on trellises. Don't worry, it's nothing like the pesky ivy you might have in mind; it's a succulent gem that even boasts adorable yellow daisy flowers. Keep it content with bright, indirect light and let the soil dry between waterings. This beauty is a real winner for both green thumbs and beginners alike!

We like to put it in our succulent gardens because it trails down the pots.

Moroccan Mint

Latin Name: 
Mentha spicata var. crispa

The perfect mint to make tea. It's sweet and not at all spicy like some mints can be - great on salads too. Moroccan Mint is combined with green tea and sugar to make the drink Moroccan Tea.

Lampranthus Miniature Pigface - Purple

Latin Name: 
Lampranthus

So many flowers! Dense growth, massed with purple flowers throughout spring. Can tolerate dry conditions and neglect. When it gets hard and woody, chop it right back and it will bounce back with better growth next rains.

Creeping Boobialla

Latin Name: 
Myoporum parvifolium

We love boobialla - it spreads quickly, is lovely and green and mats really well. It grows best in lots of sun but can grow in shade, but the leaves will become more sparse. These flowers are lightly honey scented and waxy. Fast growing and low maintenance.

Culinary Violet

Latin Name: 
Viola odorata

The sweet violet (Viola odorata, Violaceae) is a sprading ground cover that loves shade. The scent is amazing! This one is even edible. Needs lots of water and to be kept out of direct sun.

Alpine Strawberry

Latin Name: 
Fragaria vesca

Far superior in fragrance and flavour to the plumped up supermarket hybrids, this bush alpine variety has been bred from wild strains collected in woodlands throughout Europe. The small runnerless plants make this the ideal edging plant for your vegie garden.
